Our projects
Turning vision into action for lasting community impact.
The Environment & Climate Change project in Obongi aimed to strengthen community resilience to climate shocks through climate-smart livelihoods, natural resource restoration, and local governance of the environment. Over the implementation period, the project mobilized community structures, restored degraded landscapes, promoted clean energy adoption, and improved climate information services. The intervention reached 500 direct beneficiaries (50% women, 50% youth) across 6 sub-counties.
Environment & Climate Change – Obongi District
In Obongi, we worked hand-in-hand with communities to tackle the effects of climate change. Together we:
Introduced climate-smart farming techniques that boosted crop yields.
Restored degraded land by planting thousands of trees and setting up community woodlots.
Expanded access to clean energy, distributing improved cookstoves and solar kits to reduce reliance on firewood.
Strengthened climate governance, training local committees to use climate information for early warning and action.
The impact? Families now spend less on fuel, farmers are producing more food sustainably, and local leaders are better prepared to guide their communities through climate challenges.
